However, it’s different when you’re sticking the needle in your own skin to give yourself shots required by the doctor before surgery. Why do I need the shots before surgery? I have a history of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolisms and they don’t want me developing new clots. Basically, if I don’t give myself these shots, my risk of dying due to developing a clot increases a lot and the doctor will refuse to do my surgery. I don’t have an option to not give myself the shot, but I don’t know how I’m going to get through this first one later tonight.
