I know it’s not always easy to be kind towards ourselves so i thought i’d give the example today. I’m proud of myself for working as a nurse while also managing all of my social medias, promoting on reddit, connecting with other creators, posting on two platforms and answering hundreds of dms all by myself. Sometimes i feel like i don’t do enough - I could be doing so much more. I even doubt myself in everything I do because I compare myself a lot. From an outside perspective, everyone can look like they have their shit together. But it doesn’t matter what we look like in everyone else’s eyes if we are not happy in our own minds. In those moments it’s so important to take a step back and put things into perspective. Only then can we realize that we should be proud of ourselves. I think that as long as we’re being honest with the effort that we put out there, with the expectations that we put on ourselves and as long as we take the time to figure out if what we’re doing is actually making us happy, that’s all that matters. Be understanding and kind to yourself, you deserve it. And if you’re not meeting your expectations, change. Improve. You absolutely deserve to be happy.
